Angry IP Scanner is an open-source, cross-platform and easy-to-use Internet and network scanner.
Angry IP Scanner is a simple-to-use and fast network scanner that scans IP addresses, ports, and boasts of several other features. It incorporates multi-thread scanning to ensure high performance, and display basic information about every device upon discovery. The details presented comprise ping time, IP address, open ports and host name. The optional fields are filtered ports, TTL, HTTP sender, web detect, MAC address, NetBIOS Info and MAC vendor. The tool is quite popular among network administrators, and also with small and large enterprises, government agencies and banks. It can work on Windows, Linux, Mac OS X, and could also support a few other platforms.
Simple User Interface
Angry IP Scanner’s interface is quite straightforward. The controls and visible options are minimum, and the IP range and target host name are set to correct defaults. Moreover, if you are performing a local network scan, you would be able to start the program immediately. Unlike most other tools, the report displayed does not leave you to browse the long IP list manually. There are hotkeys for stepping directly via dead, alive or open hosts, choose different types of hosts, and perform the following actions: delete, rescan, multiple-format export, etc. You can right-click a particular host to find out more information relating to the device.
